Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Bioengineering at Northeastern University, Boston, MA. I develop statistical signal processing and machine learning methods for structural characterization of pathological inclusions in Alzheimer's disease under Prof. Lee Makowski. I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern in December 2024, also under Prof. Makowski, and my M.Sc. in Engineering from Texas State University in 2019 under Prof. Damian Valles and Prof. Michael Forstner.

I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed articles in journals including the Journal of Applied Crystallography (IUCr), Frontiers in Neuroscience, Robotics, and Applied Sciences, with conference publications in IEEE ISMCR, IEMCON, and CSCI. I am serving as Ancillary Co-PI on the COPDGene project in collaboration with Dr. Mathew Moll (Brigham and Women's Hospital) and Dr. Surya Bhatt (University of Alabama at Birmingham). I have received the Margaret C. Etter Student Lecturer Award from the American Crystallographic Association (2021, 2023), the Ph.D. Network Travel Grant from Northeastern University (2022–2024), and multiple awards from Texas State University including the Ingram School of Engineering Director's List Award and Graduate College Scholarship.
