Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School under Prof. Mahdi Moqri, working on two projects funded by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In MATCH (Artificial Intelligence for Donor Matching), I develop machine learning models of transplant outcomes, such as graft-versus-host disease, relapse and survival, to help clinicians compare donors and treatments. In FAST (Finding Aging Biomarkers by Searching Existing Trials), a team led by Columbia University searches completed clinical trials for biomarkers of how drugs change aging. For FAST, I develop the Human Aging Atlas, which maps aging-associated molecules to biological pathways, and a pipeline that tests which of those pathways respond to a drug.

I completed an earlier postdoctoral appointment in the Department of Bioengineering at Northeastern University under Prof. Lee Makowski, developing statistical signal processing and machine learning methods for structural characterization of pathological inclusions in Alzheimer's disease. I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern in December 2024, also under Prof. Makowski, and my M.Sc. in Engineering from Texas State University in 2019 under Prof. Damian Valles and Prof. Michael Forstner.

I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed articles in journals including Scientific Reports, the Journal of Applied Crystallography (IUCr), Frontiers in Neuroscience, Robotics, and Applied Sciences, with conference publications in IEEE ISMCR, IEMCON, and CSCI. I have received the Margaret C. Etter Student Lecturer Award from the American Crystallographic Association (2021, 2023), the Ph.D. Network Travel Grant from Northeastern University (2022–2024), and multiple awards from Texas State University including the Ingram School of Engineering Director's List Award and Graduate College Scholarship.
